My Journey:
From a Bilingual Heart to Professional Expertise
My love for languages didn’t start in a university lecture hall. It started in my childhood home in Bavaria, Germany. I grew up in a region where a distinct Bavarian dialect is the primary language spoken by everyone, children and adults alike. While Standard German was the language of books and television, Bavarian was the language of my heart, my family, and my daily life. Even at school, we spoke dialect. It wasn't until I moved to Munich for my university studies that I had to actively adapt and speak Standard German daily.
Early on, this unique upbringing showed me something profound: language is flexible, deeply tied to our environment, and we are all capable of navigating different linguistic worlds from a young age.
The Educator & The Culture Explorer
Driven by this passion, I earned a university degree in teaching German and French, with a focus on linguistics, literature and didactics, including pedagogy and psychology. I later completed further training in German as a Second Language. For over 10 years, I worked as a school teacher. What I loved most was the close, trusting collaboration with my students and their parents.
To me, teaching a language was never just about grammar rules in a textbook. During my studies, I spent a semester as a foreign language assistant at a French Lycée and Collège. Later, as a teacher, I organized annual school trips to France to immerse my students in the real world. In my classroom, we baked crêpes, watched authentic videos, and practiced the real, everyday slang the French actually use. I wanted them to feel the pulse of the culture, not just memorize vocabulary.

Living the Multilingual Reality
France always held a special place in my heart, and I spent almost every vacation on the beautiful southern coast, where I eventually met my husband, who is originally from South America.
When we met, everything happened very naturally: I knew some Spanish from university, and he had learned a bit of German during his studies, but neither of us spoke well enough for deep conversations. To talk normally and fluently with each other, English simply became our shared language. And to this day, it is the language we speak together.
However, as anyone in a multicultural relationship knows, language is alive. Every now and then, we seamlessly pop a German, French, or Spanish word into our English conversations. Sometimes it happens because a very specific word simply doesn't exist in English, or because another language captures a feeling much more accurately. Other times, it is simply a reflection of our shared history, a playful code that belongs just to us. That is the beauty of a multilingual home: you create your own linguistic identity.
A few years ago, I moved to the South of France. Today, sitting at dinner tables with friends where multiple languages flow and mix simultaneously is my joyful reality. I actively navigate and speak all of my languages every single day, seamlessly switching channels depending on who is in front of me. I don't just understand the dynamics of a multilingual life; I live it every single day.
My Mission for Your Family
Seeing how beautifully, yet naturally, different cultures and languages can merge inspired me to take my professional background to the next level. Recently, I completed my certified training as a Multilingualism Consultant using the LingFLoWS® method.
I created this mentorship because I want to show you that a thriving, joyful, multilingual family life is completely possible. It is a journey of connection, one that allows you to focus on keeping your identity alive, passing on your roots, protecting your heritage culture, and weaving the beautiful uniqueness of your language into your child's everyday life.
